As my first and only abstract study, I covet this piece as one of the first times I played around with thick, thick textures. Painted in early 2020, I was at a space to experiment delightfully between a handful of studies before ultimately landing on my ongoing muse of portraiture and figure work. Abstract for me is a space too vast to attempt, but remaining as the sole edition in this realm, it has continued to be a fan favourite since its conception.
This is a print of an original oil painting from local Toronto artist Sarah Yeung.
