Despite popular opinion, this is in fact, not a self portrait. More behind the scenes thoughts has been shared for this piece through a weekly email sent to subscribers. To encapsulate, she was the forerunner of my small collection in 2021 to depict more Asian women in my work. Capturing a look of defiance and femininity, she has remained one of our all time favourites.
